Family & Friends For Freedom Fund, Inc.

On September 22, 2004 a Marine in our family was severely injured in Iraq. During the 6 1/2 weeks he was at the Bethesda Naval Center we experienced how a family feels and the struggles they undergo when a loved one is injured. The war in Iraq was brought up close and personal. Our marine's arduous journey since has inspired our family and some friends to found a non profit organization called Family & Friends For Freedom Fund, Inc. We felt that we had to help not only our Marine but all of the other Marine families that find themselves in this tough situation as well as the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund. This is how Family & Friends For Freedom Fund Inc., a nonprofit organization, was founded.

The Ringwood Inn Diner Loyalty Club awards its members the equivalent 10% of what they spend in dining points which can be used as credit towards future visits. There is no fee to join and you can begin earning points the moment you become a member. From December 1, through December 31, any points that you earn but do not redeem will be donated at their full dollar value to The Family and Friends for Freedom Fund, Inc., in Pompton Plains. Along with the check submitted to the Fund will be a full listing of all of the loyalty club members and the amounts that they have donated.

Our Mission

Our mission is to raise funds for Injured Marines and their families. Our severely wounded Marines continue to fight battles here at home with their struggle to adjust to their injuries. Our mission is to provide financial support to injured Marines while they continue their long road to recovery and to continue to support the "Injured Marines Semper Fi Fund".

The Need

When a marine is injured, the entire family is involved in the burden of recovery. Family members must travel from all across the United States in order to be with their wounded loved one for what often can be a very long hospital stay. The travel costs, time off from their jobs, and the time away from their children puts emotional and financial strains on our Marine families. Nothing can prepare a family for the shock, when the horrors of war come knocking in your safe, secure neighborhood.
