Family and Friends For Freedom Fund Thank You Letters

Dear Family & Friends For Freedom, Inc.,

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Injured Marines Semper Fi Fund, thank you for your generous donation of $7000 on 2/11/2005. Your gift makes it possible for us to support our Marines and Sailors, and their families in this time of war. Please use this document as a tax receipt for your donation.

When a loved one is injured, families will travel at a moment's notice, and often over great distances, to be at their bedside. Providing immediate emotional support to a wounded Marine is instrumental in their physical and emotional healing, however, the emotional stress and financial burden placed on the spouses, parents and children of the Marine can take its toll. The love and support shown by caring people like yourself, allows us to alleviate some of the pressure of travel, long-term childcare, and lost income these families face during extensive hospital stays. As the Marine transitions out of the hospital, your donation allows us to assist these families in their day-to-day struggle against loss of limbs, sight, and often mobility.

We thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for your support of our Marines and Sailors. We only wish that you, too, could see the relief, thanks, and joy we receive from each family we assist. They sacrifice of themselves in a valiant attempt to make the world a safer place for all, and we thank them.

Family & Friends For Freedom Fund,

This is an actual letter written by my son Marine Sgt Eddie Ryan. Our miracle Marine!

He had lost all use of his limbs due to his injury. At present his left hand is working but tough for him as he is normally right handed.

We thank you all for your prayers. We are so very blessed to have our son!

Thank you God!

Angie Ryan

Dear Paula,

What a surprise it was to receive $200 in gas cards in the mail today from Family & Friends For Freedom Fund, Inc. How did you know these were needed? You were an answer to my prayers. I'm speechless! Thank you so much your group is truly appreciated and may God Bless all of you abundantly. Again, our sincere thanks for the recent gas cards. It's a 75 mile trip each way for Jeremy to go to Kessler 3xs a week, so this is just what we needed. Jeremy continues to progress with his speech and although it's not quick enough for him, there has been improvement. Yes, Jeremy is an "American Hero" Although he does not believe this. He is truly humble. After Christmas he got a puppy. Abby and Jeremy have bonded and it seems to be just what the Dr. ordered. Thank you again Paula.

With Sincere Thanks,
JoAnn, Peter & Jeremy Trakimowic

Thank You So much! This will really help my family and I. God Bless You, and Thank You for what you do for us OIF Veterans.

I want to thank you and Family & Friends For Freedom Fund so much for your help and support. This will help me out a great deal. And as far as my back Im going to continue treatment and stay as positive as I can. It was very nice speaking to you. Im very lucky that there are people like yourself out there that really care. Thank you so very much for your kind words. Your group was an outstanding addition to our parade, and gave us a great reminder of the blessings of liberty we in America enjoy. Of course you will be invited again next year - I will be Civic Parade Chairman as long as I am able to give a little something back to our community and our country. I hope the Family and Friends for Freedom enjoyed themselves as much as I did, and were able to partake in the refreshments after the parade.

Please feel free to include our village's parade on your web site - you all looked great!

Thanks again!

Dear Paula Sturla,

I want to thank you and your mother and the Family & Friends For Freedom Fund, Inc.

We had a terrible financial burden facing us as we went to see our son Sergeant Mark Chaffin at the Navy Hospital at Camp LeJune. The Marine Corps paid for our lodging and meals for three of our family members. The Fisher House helped with the airfare.

Our family is rather large compared to todays standard. (My wife and I and our six children.) We did incur more financial needs than other families. I met you Brother and he informed me of the Injured Marine fund. I told him we had to rent a bigger automobile because of the size of our family and the cost was rather high. He put me in contact with your Mother and a terrific financial need was met! We are still dealing with financial needs but the check which covered the rental vehicle helped tremendously!

We want to thank you for being in touch with the financial needs of the families of the great fighting Marines of our country! I pray God's richest blessings upon your organization.

Dear Paula,

How can we possibly thank you enough for your generousity? We are truly grateful, and it will certainly be put to good use in making Danny more comfortable during this long ordeal. We needed to redo his bedroom entirely to make it more accesable to him, which was a major undertaking. Thank you again for your generous gift.

I would like to thank you and your organization for all of the support that you have shown me and my family. The grant that you so graciously gave us will go a long way to help us get back on our feet after my injuries. It is not easy to recover from combat injuries, but your grant money will help ensure that the only difficulties we experience are from the physical symptoms I exhibit. When I was in Iraq conducting combat operations I often wondered how committed America was to this war and its veterans. You and your organization has shown that there are Americans who care about the young men and women who are risking their lives on a daily basis.

Thank you again,
Byron and Isabella Owen
